How to Design Jewelry with Papa's Clay

Instructions

Store Papa's Clay in its original packaging at room temperature, tightly closed so that it comes into contact with the air as little as possible. Always work with clay with clean hands and on a clean surface. Do not put clay in a pasta machine or similar devices without first bringing it to working condition. Feel free to use wood or wire as a base or structure for your clay artwork. The product is intended for people over 8 years old. Younger children can use clay under the supervision of adults. Polymer clay is not edible.

Instructions

In order to sculpt and shape with Papa's clay, the modeling mass must first be brought to working condition. Soften the polymer clay first - with a light squeeze in your fist, for a minute or two, with the warmth of your hands. After that, gently squeeze and knead it, and in this way the clay will quickly become ready for shaping. If softening the clay takes too long or is too difficult for you, you can preheat it with a hair dryer.

Hardening

When you're done, you can make your work permanent. Heat the oven to 130 degrees and bake the item for 15 minutes. If your work has multiple parts or layers, Papa's Clay can be fired multiple times. Do not microwave clay.

Papa's Clay

Why is Papa's clay so different? It has a texture and feel that artists fall in love with! It repels dust! Stays flexible after baking! No allergens or toxic substances! It has a great selection of vibrant colors!

Why is Papa's Clay Different from Other Similar Clays on the Market?

When it comes to polymer clay, artists and crafters have plenty of options to choose from. Yet, Papa's clay has carved out a unique niche that keeps people coming back. What makes it stand apart from the sea of similar clays available? The answer lies in its texture, ease of use, and a few surprising qualities that make working with it a genuine pleasure.

Unique Smooth Texture

One of the first things you’ll notice about Papa’s clay is its incredibly smooth texture. Unlike many other polymer clays that can feel grainy or slightly rough to the touch, Papa’s clay glides effortlessly through your fingers. This smoothness allows for more precise shaping and finer details, which is a huge advantage when working on intricate projects.

Very Easy to Condition

Conditioning polymer clay is often a tedious task, requiring time and effort to soften it enough for sculpting. Papa’s clay changes the game with its remarkable ease of conditioning. Right out of the package, it’s pliable and soft, reducing the time and energy spent kneading. This quality is especially appreciated by beginners.

Unusual Polymer Clay

What truly sets Papa’s clay apart is that it’s not just another polymer clay. It incorporates a special polymer blend that enhances flexibility and durability. This formulation allows the clay to bend and stretch without breaking, something many other clays struggle with.

Easily Mixes with Other Clay Brands

Papa’s clay plays nicely with others. It mixes smoothly with a wide range of popular polymer clays, allowing artists to customize colors and textures to their liking. This compatibility opens up a world of possibilities for hybrid clays tailored to specific projects.

Great for Pasta Machines

For those who use a pasta machine to condition and roll out clay, Papa’s clay is a dream come true. Its smooth consistency feeds through the rollers effortlessly, without sticking or tearing, making it easy to achieve uniform thickness and smooth surfaces.

New and Improved 2022

In 2022, Papa’s clay underwent a significant reformulation to enhance its already impressive qualities. This new and improved version offers even better pliability and a smoother finish, making it more resilient and reducing the risk of cracks during baking or handling.

First Time in the U.S.

For American crafters, the arrival of the new and improved Papa’s clay in the U.S. market was a game-changer. With easier access, more artists can now experience the unique benefits of Papa's clay firsthand.

No Smell During Baking

Papa’s clay bakes cleanly, producing virtually no smell. This makes it ideal for home use, classrooms, or studios where ventilation might be limited. The absence of strong odors adds to the overall enjoyable experience of working with this clay, from start to finish.
